What Is a Freemason?
A Freemason is a man who seeks to better understand himself, his purpose, and his place in the world. Through fellowship with other men who share a commitment to personal growth, moral character, and service to others, he embarks on a lifelong journey of learning and self-improvement.
Freemasonry brings together men from diverse backgrounds, professions, cultures, and walks of life. Despite their differences, Masons are united by common principles: a belief in a Supreme Being, respect for others, a commitment to integrity, and a desire to leave the world better than they found it. The fraternity encourages its members to explore life's deeper questions while developing virtues such as honesty, charity, responsibility, and brotherly love.
Through its teachings, traditions, and fellowship, Freemasonry seeks to help good men become better men, strengthening not only the individual but also the communities and families they serve.
